我爱台北!

couldn't wait till Feb for our hokkaido trip so we initially planned to do a weekend thingamajig in Dec.. until the boy had to be on standby for some army recall that month so we pushed the trip forward. it so happened that there was only ONE weekend both of us could make it - so we decided on Taipei on Sun, booked the airtix on Mon, the hotel on Tues, and off we went on Fri! im usually not comfortable with such spontaneity, but what's life without a little adventure? and im glad the boy egged me on for this trip 'cos it was a much-needed break from work for us both and boy, it was fun :)))
hello, taipei! its been five years since i saw you.
on board the freego bus with my trusty luggage named Coralista.
first stop: ah zhong mee sua. never fails to satiate your palate.
ximending! love those huge billboards.
flightwear: basic top, dark denim jeans and a bomber jacket
on the train to taipei 101
fashion magazines galore at Page One, 101.
and the non-stop eating starts..
shihlin night market!
FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD.
one of the things i absolutely love about taipei.
we had this fried cuttlefish every day. hahaha. it was effing goooood.
no one does snowy ice like taiwan, NO ONE.
and who could miss out on the popular HAO DA DA JI PA!
ok getting a little bit too carried away with the street food.. there are so many more pics but i think that's enough for the day. im feeling hungry just uploading these la!
other favourite shots of the trip:
oldskool games
strawberry helmet, anyone?
lovers' bridge at danshui
random cafe with swings.
last but not least, at the awesomely kawaii hello kitty restaurant :)
more about the overdose of kitties and the rest of taipei in another entry.
but before i end, just wanna share my fave buy of the trip:
the "All Typed Up Large Pouch" from kate spade.
just saw it retailing in singapore at $70 more than the price i got it for at taipei's Sogo.
HAPPINESS!!!!!!!!!!
off to get ready for dinner with the folks at spring court.
hope you girls had a fab weekend!
xoxo, sharon

Hi Sharon, do you mind sharing where you got the knit dress which you wore on the bridge and with the brownish boots from?

anon 1: hi! im using a canon ixus 860is but its a really old model :) got it in 2007 so im pretty sure there are better ones around!

just to let you know - the nostalgic tinge and stark colour contrasts you see are results of some colour editing; the pictures downloaded straight off the cam don't look like that. hope this helps! :)
